We have assisted charities of all natures including the Wellfound organisation that raises funds to supply clean water supplies in West Africa. Sometimes we receive a request to assist with a really different challenge such as the 80 hole golf challenge across Europe in less than 2 days for Icklesham Casuals Football Club.

Charity Golf Challenge at Tudor ParkAs part of the club’s 80th anniversary celebrations we were asked to plan the itinerary to play 80 holes of golf in England, France. Belgium, Germany and Holland within 40 hours. Using our network of contacts we put together the schedule and the group was joined by our very own Director John. The challenge began at Marriott Tudor Park Golf in Kent at 6am on Sunday 25th June 2017. In the afternoon after a journey via Eurotunnel, the 7 intrepid golfers played a further 18 holes at Lille Metropole Golf Club. The group arrived at Henri Chappelle Golf Hotel in Belgium at 11.00 pm on Sunday evening to rest before the 2nd part of the challenge.

Charity golf challenge in 2 countries

On Monday morning at 06.45 am the challenge continued with 18 holes on Les Viviers course at Henri Chapelle followed by a short drive into Germany to play the next 18 holes at Haus Kambach Golf Club. The challenge was finally completed at 21.30 pm on the 8th hole at Maastricht International Golf Club. The hole  is unique as the tee is in Holland and the hole finishes in Belgium!  Over £3,500 has been raised to date for the Alzheimer’s Society and Motor Neurone Disease Association. We also assisted the Club in organising a local golf day at The Weald of Kent Golf Club to assist in promoting awareness of the two charities.
